Removing fear, stigma, and promoting regular check-ups and diagnostic screening in West Bengal.
Live 4 Help Foundation organized a comprehensive Cancer Awareness Session at Darjeeling Hills University, West Bengal. Facilitated by Dr. Shyamsundar Mondal, retired ex. HOD, Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute, Kolkata, the session targeted students and local villagers.
Dr. Mondal explained the early signs of cancer, early diagnosis advantages, and the vital role of regular screenings. Special emphasis was laid on educating women about breast self-exams. The foundation utilized its breast simulator (donated by our generous patrons) to demonstrate self-examination practically, helping women identify early concerns.
Our objective is to remove fear and local social stigmas surrounding cancer, helping rural families seek timely medical attention.
